Chat GPT: an innovative Artificial Intelligent System which works as a personnel assistant, only much more efficiently. Whether it’s writing emails or creating content for a living. Chat GPT provides the necessary information and aims to help millions with its profound features. People are told about the benefits of it thereby veiling its perils.

However, its credibility got challenged when renowned computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton, also known as The godfather of Artificial Intelligence, resigned from Google. He emphasized its profound risks to society and humanity.
Hinton divulged that emerging competition between tech companies forced them to release AI technology immensely. This will not only affect the jobs but will also be more vigorous with its misinformation. In fact, according to him, misinformation had never been more easy.

He mentioned that these systems are overshadowing human creativity and intelligence. Since these systems analyse a huge amount of data, there may be a chance that the system is actually better than the brain. We can never be sure. However, there is a chance that Chat GPT is doing more harm than good. Soon there may be a time when an average human will no longer know what’s true.

Upon Hinton’s statement to the press Jeff Dean, lead scientist in Google AI, preached Hinton’s view and posed his commitment towards a responsible approach to AI. He told the press that they are in the process of learning the emerging risks and thus will proceed boldly.

In March tech billionaire Elon Musk and experts paused on the development of AI. They need to be sure of its safety. So quite recently a letter was signed by almost 900 people including, Elon Musk and Apple’s CEO Steve Wozniak, to release the latest and more powerful version of Chat GPT. Geoffery Hinton the godfather of AI didn’t sign the letter and urged the tech geniuses not to escalate it further but in fact, understand if they can control it wisely.
